It can produce some pretty spectacular scenes.
The wildfire yesterday northeast of the city gave us all some things to watch for, one of them, being careful in a forest that is filled with diseased trees of dwarf mistletoe.....during +30C temperatures.
This could really have been a serious scenario. As it was, at least one home was burned to the ground.
If the wind had been blowing from the northeast, I couldn't have taken these pictures and the city would have been in a total haze.
I am often amazed at the water bombers and their bird dog going in ahead of them under conditions like the ones above.
Fliers......."Men of Steel"!!!

Good pics. Good thing no-one was hurt. Unfortunate about the property loss.
