Just so you know...

I won't be around here for a time.  Internet connections won't be hitched up until sometime next week.

I also won't know what to do with myself............that was a joke, by the way.

House is looking scary.

New place is looking scarier.

It will be good to get settled.

So, until I'm connected to you again......adieu........

Thinking of finer days.....

A few more pics of the Narrows on Waskesiu.  I'd enjoy going again some time soon.

Today was busy spinning wheels and it seems like we didn't accomplish nearly as much as we would have liked.   Thursday is approaching very quickly and the panic mode is looming.....

One thing.....

Yes, there is one, and only one thing I will miss not having as we move into our new apartment and that is this......

This is what I saw as I went on with my morning routine...sun peeking through the clouds, birds singing and leaves still showing off their greenery.

There is nothing like a bathroom window....nothing.  You get a quick weather report happening for your day and you get to watch the changing of the seasons, right in front of you every single morning as you brush your teeth and put on make-up.

I shall miss my "bathroom window to the world"....a whole lot.  But I enjoyed it while I had it!  I know.  Little things make me happy.

And in the new place, we now have two and a half sets of blinds up with one and a half to go.....don't ask about the half.....

And many of our cupboards have shelving fit into them...a few more to go.  New bathroom light fixture purchased too.  It won't be the sun, but it will have three 60 watt bulbs as a replacement.....

Inside....

As promised, here are some pics of the inside of our new apartment, yet to be furnished...

A view from spare bedroom/computer room....looking west.

View from master bedroom and front room looking southwest.

Funky bathroom..extends left.

Dining area.

South half of living room.

North half of living room
Galley kitchen with entrance-way beyond - front door to right past pantry.

Hallway to bathroom/bedrooms looking west.

The all-important storage room which will house
freezer/fridge/two cedar chests and the rest of our "items worth saving".

Looking east from hallway towards pantry and front entrance.

Our parking space under carport...looking southeast.

And now over the next several weeks we will attempt to make this "typical looking apartment"....our own little home.

I'm excited.....and I thank God for His continual provision.

Out of the ordinary...

We spent a day out of the ordinary today...husband and I.  We spoiled ourselves and drove to Waskesiu to enjoy part of a day there....to have lunch at the Hawood, walk the break water, coffee and snack at the Trading Post, drive to the Narrows and back home to more packing and readying for garage sale #3.

It was a glorious day.  Not hot.  Not cool.  Not windy. Not cloudy. Not smokey.  Just right.  So, here is our day in pictures...after coffee at A&W and a trip to see the nice diabetic nurse.....

Since we're permit holders.....we went right....

Walking the boardwalk....

Lake higher than we've ever seen it....splashing over the boardwalk!

Peek....

Serenity....

(note poor grammar in a national park!!)

black & white can be pretty....

"Bee-ing on top"

Color explosion....

Good posture....

Contrast....

A sail on the breeze...

Skittish Canada geese.

"Wasp FlowerFest"

Spiky.....

That's about it.  I took many, many, many more pictures but you get the idea of the kind of day I (we) had!  I sorely needed that, I must say.  I told husband my heart was longing for a glimpse of the lake, just a glimpse and I certainly was blessed with so much more.  God makes beautiful stuff!

Tomorrow, if time will allow after the garage sale, I shall post a few pics of our new apartment on the inside (without furniture).  I'm getting very excited to be there!  A bit more packing yet......

Gee....more rain....imagine that!...

But the crabapples are ripening up nicely.  The earth is looking lush and fruitful.  It's a great day to be very thankful for all we have been given.

I'll just continue on with this packing thing.....enjoy your evening walking/jogging/sitting/sleeping/reading/visiting or the good old standby....."watching the telly".

I'm taking a coffee break....

and listening to this: (crank up your volume and get dancing!!)
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xczmm6_johnny-reid-darlin_music

I'm so out of tune, so to speak, with the music of the day!

Conversation at work:
C:  "Are you going to hear Johnny Reid at the Art Hauser Centre in September?"
Me: "Who's Johnny Reid?"
C:  "I think he's scottish or something like that and sings ballads and soft music...he's really nice to listen to."
Me: "Hmmm....maybe I'll take a coffee break and listen to a tune or so of his."

I think I'm hooked....

Now, back to work!!!

We went to get blueberries....

Out in the country.  It was a beautiful place.  We drove and drove and drove.  Up hills.  Down hills.  Sailing over ashpalt.  Rumbling over gravel.  We had our pails all ready....5 two litre pails.

The lady that picked them was really nice.  She lived here with her dog...

After we picked up all those beautiful blueberries, we drove home to distribute them to various folks who said they wanted some for freezing.  But before that, we stopped on the old highway so I could take a few pictures of the burned out Crutwell Fire that happened out there a few years back and to observe the life that has come from all the destruction.

And the bees are still as busy as ever!

Enjoy a restful night....I have to go now and brush my teeth...wouldn't want a "blue" smile at work tomorrow.:-)
