My friend Phil came over to my desk this morning to tell me that there was wildlife amongst the bushes at the front of our Forest Centre building and that if I wanted a picture, he was quite sure it would still be there.
Sure enough...there she sat, motionless, amongst the rose bushes and the wood chips. Many folks had walked right by her, she blended in so well. She let me bend down in front of her to snap a few shots but when my foot moved to get up...she quickly did too. I could tell she was an urban bunny. She ran straight to the edge of the sidewalk, stopped, looked south (not north...I think she knew it was a one-way street!) hopped gingerly across Central Avenue (didn't bother going to the cross-walk - like many of us) and did her bounce step with her enormous feet and ears straight up with their black tips, all the way across City Hall Square and into the bushes beyond.
I love times like that when I can enjoy nature right in our front yard....even if it happens to be at work!
So, instead of posting all of my emotions on here this night, I thought you might deserve to see what I saw today. A nature scene....in all her splendor. Click on the pic to see the detail.
God makes lovely creatures.....all for our enjoyment.

You need to come out to Prov where the wild turkeys are. Honestly, they looked like the bird from Up when I saw them a few weeks ago. And Marc was chasing them on his back on the weekend. :)
