It's difficult trying to get everything done on a Saturday that you can't get done while you're working! So many things get pushed to that one hectic day and by the looks of it, there appears to be a shopping frenzy happening...I just hope it isn't Christmas shopping. Now THAT would be too much, even for me!!!
So, it was an evening with daughter and granddaughter yesterday...which means a fairly late night, which means a fairly late morning and then we get up and GO! (With a cough, sore throat and ear ache, to boot). Breakfast with husband, shopping for "needed" things, a bit of house cleaning, a bit of festive decorating, a long, wonderful coffee time with daughter...just the two of us. Now it's preparing for tomorrow morning's Sunday School class and I should be good to go...if this cold doesn't overtake me in the process.
This past week we also enjoyed a "Season to Grow Cafe" in the lower auditorium of our church. It was a stupendous time! From 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and later, folks came to visit, drink fabulous coffee, tea, and cappucinno and eat decadent desserts.
It was a terrific way to spend an evening......with good friends, good food and good coffee.
I think we should do that again very soon.
