What's that?

Yes, that's what it is...an ugly stick....my fishing rod. And it brought in the fish, a whole whack of fish. So, I don't like calling it "ugly" 'cause it actually was kind of cool looking....irridescent like. Oh, and did I mention that it was a Christmas gift last year from husband? It was. The thing is, how was it that we each had identical fish hooks, he fished off one side of the boat and me on the other and I caught all the fish? How is that? A mystery indeed. I don't get it.....neither does he....

So the next picture shows this struggle happening. The death of a horse fly and it's ensuing ant burial tactics. I whacked that horse fly down and the ants came by the hundreds to finish him off, stinging him again and again. They then proceeded to carry that corpse off into their little ant house as a tasty little morsel for their queen. Life and death struggles....we all have them.....just like the horse fly and the ants.

The bottom picture is a couple of bugs. My friend, the bug doctor, would know what these are. Maybe you do too....anyway, they looked as though they were signaling to one another as to their availability...kind of like teenagers, giving the opposite sex "the look". I think he was saying to her, "come down here my sweet and we will enjoy the view together." I think these two eventually found one another and lived happily ever after.

It was a buggy day but a good buggy day, to be sure.
