Palm Sunday...

Today was Palm Sunday. It was a happy day.

We also had a guest pastor who offered us holy communion.

It was a chance to really think about sin and how it can bind us and blind us. We seem to be able to call it anything else but what it actually is.....S I N.........and those three letters don't represent a number we have to identify ourselves with either!!!

We sang some praises to God too. It was a day to remember his entry into Jerusalem on a donkey.

We were reminded of the week to come.....Maunday Thursday, when Jesus had his last meal with his disciples, where he told the twelve that one of them would be his betrayer....

We were reminded too, of Good Friday and the death of Jesus, "King of the Jews"...........of the gravity of His being crucified as a way of unmerciful punishment, a way of total humiliation and degradation, the lowest and most painful manner in which to die....on a cross.

One Man died. Yes. The God Man....Jesus Christ.

One Man was willing to go that route.....for all of us.

This week I will be thinking of that route and the sacrifice that was offered and paid....for me.
