the catch......





I know my fishing days for this year are most likely over. That's kind of sad to me.


But it's really not the actual fishing I enjoy.


It's being on the water with the sun beating on my face.


It's the stillness and quietness and softness of a summer day.


It's the mirror-image reflections of trees and clouds and fish hooks.


All of these things are embedded and seared into my memory bank as fall and winter approach.


But the thing that will be remembered the most will be time spent with husband.....he, on the starboard, and me on the port bow.....sharing a jam and peanut butter sandwich, some grapes and a jug of water..........and once in a while.......a kiss..........
Fishing isn't always about catching fish.....;-)
