A friend of ours made this beautiful loaf for us last year and we consumed it at the Easter dinner table.
To me, this bread represents family, the way each section crosses over into the next making one whole loaf. And when we are interwoven, we hold one another together so that we can be useful and ready to be of service and are stronger.
Jesus was called the "Bread of Life". This Easter we will again celebrate this fact. He is the source of our nourishment. He gives us the strength we need to meet each day head on....even in the midst of difficulties.
We will again be holding a sunrise service on the river bank on Easter morning. This is what it looked like last year. Chilly, but a marvelous way to greet the day of celebration...a day to commemorate the power of death being overcome by a risen Savior.
