The sun rises now at 9:05 a.m. and sets at 5:22 p.m.
That is cause for whooping it up.
We're on our way to the longest day
And that makes me quite happy
There's Valentine's, Easter and Mother's Day yet
And don't forget your pappy!
The sun will rise as we get to work
More daylight will make us have bare toes,
It soon will be that we'll shed our coats
The sun will have much shorter shadows.
In the meantime we must remain totally calm
While February and March bring us snow piles
But we know what cold is and so we'll all see
Frost, sun dogs and snow drifts for miles.
