A room with a view....

The view.....

We looked at a 4th storey condo for rent this evening.

Three bachelors were living there temporarily......you can imagine.....

Anyway, we looked at this place. It was nice. Different from what we are used to. Nice. We most likely will look at other places too, but the young fellow Marcus, the owner of the place, seemed like such a fine young man.

He was off to a Bible study so we didn't want to keep him there showing the place for too long. He's reading the book of Exodus with some other folks. I sensed that he was looking for something.....something to fill the void in his life.....like we all do. Sometimes we hold on to the very first thing that makes any sense to us, we hold on and we don't let go. These days young people know about injustices to others. It doesn't only happen in far off countries. And it seems that this particular group of folks that Marcus is with, speak a great deal about oppression and tyranny in an unjust world.

I thought how this young man seemed so much like our new pastor, Seth, and our son, Matthew. Young. Energetic. Seeking out God. Wanting justice in the world around them. Funny how it is when you meet someone, there is a connection. I believe God's spirit was just that connection. Husband and I thought it would be great to get to know him better and for him to meet Seth....we thought........

Perhaps this young man Marcus, will one day be our landlord.........

May God give us direction as we discern where we should be living....this place overlooks the river by-the-way!
