As temperatures drop and the earth shifts its angle, the leaves have begun their fall in great numbers from host trees.
You can see that some aren't willing to give up their lives very easily. They cling, they hide and eventually gather together en masse on the drenched sidewalks, vehicles, fences, shoe bottoms, gutters and grass below.
I hope they know their lives have not been in vain.
With some things in life, we have no control.
The changing of the seasons is one great example.
The death toll mounts as does the number of sore arms from raking.

It's been a weird fall, including the fact that a lot of the leaves just never turned colour. Strange to see green leaves on the trees in late October in this part of the world.
