Waskesiu - mid-June
I love the colors of a mid-June day.
The blues are so....blue.
The greens are fresh and pale and shiny.
The sun is so high in the sky one doesn't notice the tiny shadows. June makes them insignificant.
The days are at their longest, offering up sun well into the evening hours.
As the gloomy days of fall pass the point of no return into the darkness of winter, it is good to remind ourselves that spring will happen once more in a few months....just a few months.
We can wait it out 'til then....especially if we can truly enjoy the coming months of cold and snow and appreciate our warm homes and the special beauty that only winter months can bring.
