The beginning...???

The last few days have been foggy and frosty....quite foggy this morning actually.  I love days like that.

These pictures show the beginning stages of freeze-up on the old North Saskatchewan.  Chunks of ice begin to form at the edges and continue to collect the pieces floating by until...voila!!!  A frozen river.  Don't you just love the shades of grey and white during the late fall and winter months....well, I do anyway.  I love the subtle shades of grey, especially against a backdrop of frost.

And there are only 53 days left until Christmas, don't forget!
