We lunched at the Hawood. Drove to Prospect Point to verify that, no, the ice was nowhere near out. Scooted out to the trailer park to see if we could get a glimpse of where we will spend our summer vacation but of course, there were just too many mounds of snow.
It was good to be somewhere else, to smell the scent of pine and see the crows and deer and foxes busying themselves with the newness of spring. Exhilarating! The lake was solid and white with splashes of "mush" everywhere. It seemed to be teasing us with the powder-white clouds swirling in a sea of blue overhead. I could hear it saying...."not long now...but there is much to be done before you arrive....". "Ya", I said to myself..."like heating up 40 degrees!!!"
It was the first time I had the camera outside too, since....hmmmmm....can't remember. Here are some scenes of our day together....
Deer roamed and fed on new greens.
Enjoying the sun.
Spring clouds through the trees.
Cheeky crow....but cute and curious.
Prospect Point tantalized....
Brittney left a note for her summer employer.
Snow banks too high to get gas! :)
The Market - barely visible amongst the mounds of white.
Two foxes frolicked in the forest...and all I captured were the trees:(
As you can see, it was a day that, to me, was worth a million bucks.....or deer. (It's strange that the plural of doe is deer...because if you spelled it "does" then it does not make sense because that is the word "does". If it were up to me, I would spell the plural of "doe" as "doze"). Oh the English language......
