It's a bit surreal....

After being away from work for ever-so-long, when I do go in for a short visit, as I did today, it seems strange to me.  I don't miss being there so much as I do the people.

It's people that make our lives rich and full and meaningful...not the job we possess (or it possesses us?) nor the lovely surroundings.  It isn't anything visible or concrete at all really, other than relationships.

It was great to catch up with friends and hug them tightly and let them know I really haven't ditched them.

When I do return, there will be new things awaiting me...four or so new staff members, a new version of our time cards to get my head around, and various other things, not to mention NEWS of what's been happening with people.  I'm so far behind in that area and it will take time to get caught up!

It was a blessing to me to be there today.

It's a beauty of a building!

And tomorrow is the Relay for Life kickoff BBQ at the Forest Centre.
Studs and Peelers will host the city!

My work space awaits me.....or perhaps the other way around.

Sleep well...and if you're the praying type, pray that we will get a reservation tomorrow morning for the trailer park at Waskesiu.  God knows our....need.  So many trailers...so few camp spots and who knows where God wants us this summer...last summer was Ken's recovery from heart surgery!  Perhaps this summer we will be at the lake for a time....I WILL need some good swimming  to get this knee in shape. What better way, I say.... (Don't mind me, I'm just talking to God as I type about what I NEED...but He may see something ahead that I can't.)
